This is hot dog is a new little restaurant that opened at JLT (Cluster I). The interiors, the waitresses, the tables, the menu .. everything was done with such great details. This is hot dog is what you would exactly expect from a place specializing with hot dogs. They have a variety of hot dogs to choose from we opted for the Japanese, Mexican, Franky and BBQ Brisket. Do order their Luxury fries ( AED 15 ) as their softness from the inside but crunchy from the outside is not something to miss.

The Japanese hot dog was more on the sweeter side. Containing sweet fresh mango on alfalfa leaves and crunchy iceberg of lettuce with smooth wasabi mayo. Japanese sauce and a gentle ginger pickle ( AED 29 ). A definite re-order !IMG_5882

The Mexican included lush guacamole and sour cream mixed with spring onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and smothered with cheddar cheese on top of refried beans. ( AED 24 ). A definite re-order!IMG_5886

The Franky is exactly what you would expect a good old burger to taste like. Containing ketchup, mayo, mustard, top with onions, dill pickle, sweet corn and finished with cheddar cheese ( AED 25 ). A re-order !image2

BBQ Brisket each sandwich contained 200g of Australian brisket beef that is cooked overnight for 9/10 hours. Personally I did not enjoy it. ( AED 53 )IMG_5892

Choco bun is banana in their soft bread topped with nutella and m&ms. A good way to add sweetness after all the delicious hot dogs. ( AED 23 )image1

I recently visited ” By Parkers ” at AlKhazan Park. The newly introduced concept had an exclusive pop-up for the key hunters. Mr Parker hid keys around the city and left clues on his snapchat. Whoever found the key would get to taste their menu before the official opening.

To me I would associate “park food” to be in small portions and it was exactly that. The menu had a range of starters, sliders, fries and desserts in a can. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine was not working and we were not able to try their desserts.

Street fries ( though my sister felt the black lemon seasoning sometimes overpowered everything else on the fries )Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset

Overall, I would definitely recommend you try this place out when they officially open. It is a new experience, the ingredients compliment each other in the dishes that I have tried and the staff are very welcoming/friendly. Bill : 106 DHS

One of the things I want to see more in the UAE is more shops specializing in sweets, more specifically DONUTS. I found “Love Doughnuts” through Instagram and was very lucky to know they have a pop up shop at Ripe Market. The packaging is well thought off, with doughnuts stacked on top of each other in circle shaped boxes. While the doughnuts are worth trying they are overpriced. Personally, I am not a fan of custard filled doughnuts but they impressed me. The Oreo doughnut was my favorite. Love Doughnuts have a variety of creative doughnuts to savor from. Overall, the doughnuts are very well executed, soft and tasty.

Every Friday morning Ripe will host their market from 9:00 AM till 2:00 PM at Zaabeel Park (Gate 1). You will find fresh organic fruits, vegetables, local food stalls, mini version of restaurants, crafts, fun activities for the kids, live music and many more! ATM machines are available this year too. The majority of the places have reasonable pricing. There are different types of seating areas and since it is in a park it would be a fun picnic experience. I would recommend you visit the Ripe Market early as it gets VERY crowded and it would be difficult to find a parking spot (We parked in the sand pit across Gate 1!). You should definitely check this place out as it is only for a period of time. There is a clear improvement from last year.

My daily struggle is finding a place that both my sister and I can enjoy. I am addicted to hot chocolate and she is a flat white enthusiast. Whenever a place has good hot chocolate their flat white is “flat” in flavor. If a place serves good flat white their hot chocolate is not up to par. BUT … We finally found a chilled place with both good hot chocolate and flat white ! With a nice view of Jumeira Beach Road, this place offers organic and locally roasted coffee that satisfies the taste buds of different types of coffee lovers. Including homemade desserts such as date truffles, brownie cookies, organic toss bars etc …

The Plaza Food Hall is located underneath The Plaza Hotel offering different cuisines, bakeries, crepes and many more. This little gem is what caught my eyes. What I loved most about this place is that it covers different cuisines in one menu, from pizza to sushi. If you are looking for a short stay and good food this is the place. A big space with a sushi bar, pizza station and long tables which means you will be sitting with other guests if you are in a small group. We were seated at the pizza station and enjoyed watching our pizza being made.

The Classic :
I LOVE PIZZA. And no not everyone can make a good Margherita Pizza but Todd English did not disappoint, it impressed me! I asked for hot sauce too.

Lobster Mac’n’Cheese :
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this dish. Could not help myself but kept on having bites of it from my sister. This was GOOOD.

Chicken & Broccoli Stir Fry :
Only thing about this dish is that the portion was too small.

I enjoyed my breakfast at Sarabeth’s though it tends to be crowded. The waiter was very friendly telling us stories about his time at my country and advising us on places to visit in New York. All three meals below were delicious and portions were generous. The location was perfect as it was opposite of Central Park South, a good view of the hustle in New York. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a big breakfast to boost your energy for the day.

DISCLAIMER the pictures were taken by my Dad, it was his first time to take pictures of food so go easy on him!

French Toast :
Extremely fluffy and soft french toast. The best I ever had so far.

Salmon Scramble Egg :
Which was moist and rich in flavor. A good texture and satisfying breakfast.

Buttermilk Pancakes :
One of the must try meal at Sarabeth’s. Fluffy fluffy fluffy.

It is hard to resist the flavors of Spanish cuisine. One of my favorite go-to restaurants whenever I am in London is “La Tasca”. When ordering the paella they do tell you that it will take time. We ordered the seafood paella and it was *as usual* DELICIOUS. But if you want to grab quick bites, I would recommend you go with the tapas instead. The food is what you expect in a Spanish restaurant. There is a wide selection on the menu that caters for all tastes.

This portion was perfect for 3 people.

“Camden Lock Market” offers great food to savor from around the world. If you ever find yourself there then make sure to check out “Hola Paella”. The paella is well seasoned and is freshly made on daily basis. Offering three different plate sizes *S,M,L*, depending on how hungry you are.

If you are in New York and want delicious street food, look no further than “The Halal Guys” ! The food is made to order in front you. Appropriate at any time of the day whether you are looking for a quick bite between shopping or at the end of the day. It is superior in quality when comparing it to other street food. Obviously no seats available but there is just something about standing in line and eating it right there.

I would definitely recommend you having “The Halal Guys” even if you do not eat street food. The consistency and quality of both the service and food is great. Though most of the time there is a waiting line. A fulfilling $6 meal.

I have tried Tom&Serg for multiple occasions.. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, coffee break or early dinner and I must say I was never disappointed. This post will be about the breakfast dishes I have tried. The waiting time for the food was between 5 – 10 minutes which is fast for the beautiful flavorful dishes they serve. The menu is just a single back to back menu, short and simple. The menu includes AM food, PM food, ALL day, desserts, coffee and milkshakes. A bottle of complimentary water is given each time. The atmosphere is casual, hip and contemparory. The waiters/resses are very friendly.

Here is what we ordered:

– Flat white ( 17 DHS ) :
Just what you would expect with any good flat white. No complaints.

– Salted Caramel milkshake ( 23 DHS ) :
Which from the name you would think it would be heavy for breakfast but nope! It was light and enjoyable.

– Shakshouka baked eggs ( 41 DHS ) :
Melted tomatoes, mozzarella, chilli, cumin, dukkah, toasted surdough. Comes with two slices of brown bread. I would recommend this if you want to try a breakfast dish at Tom&Serg.

– Baghdad scramble ( 51 DHS ) :
Spicy lamb sausage, minted labneh, cauliflower florets, pine nuts, raisins, hummous, paratha.
